Resolved: Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Emergency Maintenance

On Monday, December 9, 2013, Information Technology Services (ITS) will upgrade software for the distributed file backup service, Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), saverestore.its.psu.edu. Maintenance is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. and will conclude by 3:30 p.m. During this time, saverestore.its.psu.edu will not be available for backing up or restoring files. The other TSM servers, backup.aset.psu.edu and tsm.offsite.psu.edu, will not be affected during this maintenance.

Maintenance is scheduled to occur outside the regularly scheduled maintenance window because file backup logs indicate the lowest amount of TSM usage occurs between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
