Resolved: VPN IPSec client support to be discontinued on 3/13/2017

On Monday, March 13, 2017, support for the VPN IPSec client will discontinued.  Users may still access the service, but will need to use the newer client, called “AnyConnect,” to be able to connect to Penn State resources from outside the Penn State network.

Action Required:
To download the new VPN client, speak with your IT support staff about your VPN configuration.  You can also go to https://downloads.its.psu.edu , under “Connecting to Penn State” and download and install the VPN- Virtual Private Network (AnyConnect) client for your operating system. Default connection profiles, including “ISPtoPSU” and “LIASVPN,” have already been pre-configured in the new client.

Resources:
For questions or feedback, contact your local IT support group or system administrator who manages your desktop environment.  You can also contact the IT Service Desk at ITServiceDesk@psu.edu.

Download the new client at:  https://downloads.its.psu.edu

Instructions for installing the new client can be found at:  http://kb.its.psu.edu/article/891
