Resolved: Wireless Authentication Failures
This issue only impacts Windows and Linux users who have changed their connection settings to use an alternate outer identity for wireless authentication. The instructions for configuring the SecureW2 client are here: https://www.work.psu.edu/access/dot1x/prod/securew2.html
On step 12 of those instructions, you will see the \”Use alternate outer identity\” check box unchecked. You can resolve this issue by opening the client and unchecking this box, or if you prefer to use an anonymous outer identity, you may leave the box checked and select the \”Use anonymous outer identity\” radio button. Any other configuration could cause the issue to recur.
Mac users who use the official PSU Wireless 802.1x profile will not experience this issue.
