It was confirmed that as of 11:20am, the University’s virus scanning software is scanning e-mail messages for viruses and all e-mail services have been fully restored. Users should not have any issues sending or receiving e-mail.
All e-mail received by the University e-mail servers during the 4:30am – 11:20am time frame may contain additional text in the subject of ***UNCHECKED***. That text was placed there by the University’s virus scanning software for e-mail and may be ignored. The rest of the subject and body of the e-mail messages remain as expected. Any e-mails received after 11:20am should not see that added phrase to the e-mail subject.
